What about dancing through a forest? Certainly! The "Spessart" ambient album gets overdue dance interpretations by the man himself, Johannes Albert that is. Out of the calm originals we morph over to euphoric Italo vibes ("Kuhruh"), a bit of balearic-meets-nyc-house ("Schönrain"), not to forget some subtle indie-kompakt-like basslines ("Mariabuchen") and last but not least, we bump into broken 606 drum workouts ("Katharinenbild"). In Johannes' own words: "All I ever wanted is to remix myself". In the end? Dancing is more than okay! Artwork by Jana Marei.
